Fantastic $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a short availability earlier this year, this cartography software collection has returned with an encore available through early December. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. And there are three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is certainly a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, underground complexes, urban centers, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though you can redeem the deal across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.
